Having fresh flowers dotted about your home adds a sense of happiness, can lift your mood and fills your house with gorgeous aromas. If you love flowers as much as we do, you will know how we don’t like seeing them wilt and having to throw them away.

That’s why we wanted to share with you three ways to re-use your roses and avoid throwing them away.

1.Add to a Relaxing Bath

Dry and crush your rose petals and add to your favorite bath salts, we like to use Epsom salts, and add to a hot bath for a relaxing experience. For more luxury you can add a couple of drops of rose essential oil.

Keep in a glass jar next to your bath and sprinkle in anytime you need that extra relaxation.

You can also skips the salts and simply sprinkle in your dried rose petals into your bath for a more romantic feel.

2. Floral Ice Cubes

Brighten up your drinks with these fun floral ice cubes. These can be added to your glass of water to make drinking the recommended 8 glasses a day a touch more fun or add to a G&T whilst sat in the garden for a pretty summer twist.

Floral ice cubes can be made with any edible flowers or organic rose petals.

3. Potpourri

Gather together your rose petals and fruits of your choice (such as oranges and lemon peel), place ingredients onto a baking sheet with baking paper and bake for 2 hours at 200 degrees until all are dry.

Once dry and cool, mix together with an essential oil of your choice and let fully dry out for 24 hours. Store in a glass or plastic jar, do not use metal, and enjoy the aroma!
